This is a North Coast Indian,dressed in the traditional clothing woven from cedar bark and grasses.By her side is a dog,used as a beast of burden,with a load of firewood ,gathered from the beach.The hair of the dog was used in weaving cloth.She has a basket of clams on her back that she has dug with the ancient digging tool.This sculpture is an award winnner.

Sammy is a Shi Tzu mix ,a rescued dog from an animal shelter in Oregon.He is a very clever fella,with a huge vocabulary and the ability to tell time for his owners ,in case they forget,such things as dinner,cookie time and bed time,or the very favorite,Go.

In this sculpture,an Apache Warrior is taking horses from a ranchers corral.He has mounted one of them ,and with a scrap of cloth is spooking them through the broken fence.One horse has fallen and the others are leaping over in their frightened flight.

When the land was new,the wilderness call brought many souls West,to wander and seek their fortunes in the fur trade.A lonely solitary life,many sought the companionship of Native American women..In this sculpture,a youngwoman is looking back,for what may be her last look at her home and family,as she and her companion travel onward ,into “The Shining Mountains”
