The show was held in Pendleton Oregon An extraordinary gathering of Western art ,created by women artists,celebrating the role women have played  in ranching,farming and rodeoing in past and present times.

 Great fun with several events taking place all weekend!

Oh My,I didn’t get to see the show,had a date with a little bug,called   MONONUCLEOSIS!  Don’t TRY IT!

Just want to let you know,Bill and I will be showing at the big

” Celebration of Western and Wildlife Art” show in Puyallup Washinton this year.

It will be in the Expo Hall at the Puyallup fairgrounds.

the dates are                October 8-9-10

Special guest  will be actor -artist Michael McGrady.

There will be several live and silent auctions,wine tasting etc.,so come and enjoy the show.

The newest sculpture is home from the foundry!I am really excited about it.It is a lifesize head of a horse with a bosal (hackamore) ,modeled on the original one Bill used to train horses with.The horse is a beautiful Quarter Horse Bill owned and trained,named “Bo”.There will only be 10 cast.Sorry,the pre cast price is over,but believe me,he is spectacular,and worth the price..Let me  know if interested.He is one of my best!

This is a memory of twin sisters who lived on a ranch in Wyoming.They loved to chase the wild horses that roamed the hills around their home.My Granddaughter Cindy was the model for this sculpture.

We lived on a little ranch in the sand hills outside Fletcher Oklahoma,owned by Bonney Owens.His Hereford bull would get out and go visiting the neighbor ladies.This was one of the times Bill and his good cow horse,Joe,made a believer out of that bull.By the time they got him home,he was leading like a well broke horse.

Usually,in any herd of animals,there is a boss,the one who keeps order .This  sculpture is of one of our Quarter Horse mares,Apple Flip.She was a sweet natured ,coal black mare.It was fun to watch her stand by the water trough,and allow the other horses to come in a specific order to drink.They never disputed her authority,for fear of her flashing teeth and hoofs!

She was also a great show horse.Our daughter Janet won many ribbons showing her both Western and English,across the United States!
